History

In my storage room I had my old but loved board. My first real longboard, actually my second, A luke nose walker. Mark that I wrote real, and I know some of you will say, "dude a sector nine is just crap and nearly should bare the name of a usefull longboard". I must say I agree, when I bought this longboard a cuple of years ago, I got it with just horrible trucks and it was a cuple wobble runs, until I bought my first randals and nice abec11 wheels. Then the monster tranformed to something quite lovely. That love keept me on a longboard and still is. But my old friend has been in the storage room for some years after it got replaced with a new longboard. In the storage room I saved the deck and some new griptape I never changed on it. In my mind I have the idea to rebuild it some day.

Project start

Some days ago a store had a winter sell out of longboard stuff. I did buy a new board ;-), but I also rember my old friend and I thougt that this is my opportunity to get two boards, a new and wake my old friend back to life. Said and done I have order new truks, wheels, bearings, etc to my old friend, I gone wake the old monster to life with some new stuff, a modern Frankensteins monster longboard.

The first steps to Frankenstein

The first Frankenstien step is the griptape, it is not the same color. The old unused griptape I have is blank and old griptape on the board is black. hmmmm, it is not enough griptape, well it is a monster !!! I replace only the parts of the griptape that is bad.
